Hyundai has officially revealed the all-new Sonata 2025, and it marks a bold step forward in design, performance, and technology. As Hyundai’s flagship sedan, the new Sonata brings futuristic styling and advanced features, aiming to redefine the premium sedan experience for modern buyers.
Futuristic Exterior Design
The 2025 Hyundai Sonata adopts the brand’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language, giving it a more dynamic and aggressive look. The front features a sleek LED light bar that stretches across the hood, paired with razor-sharp headlamps and a wide parametric grille. At the rear, the full-width connected tail lamp setup and sculpted bumper create a sporty fastback profile. The overall styling is lower, wider, and more refined than before, giving the sedan a commanding road presence.

Tech-Packed Premium Interior
Step inside, and the cabin of the Sonata 2025 feels futuristic and luxurious. The dashboard layout is clean and horizontal, featuring a curved panoramic display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Hyundai has used high-quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, and ambient lighting to elevate the interior experience. Other key features include a premium Bose audio system, ventilated and heated seats, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a redesigned shift-by-wire gear selector on the steering column.
Hybrid and Turbo Engine Options
Under the hood, the 2025 Sonata is expected to come with multiple powertrain options, including a 2.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.6L turbo-petrol engine. More importantly, a fuel-efficient hybrid variant will also be offered, appealing to eco-conscious buyers. All engines are paired with a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid version delivers excellent mileage without compromising on performance. The car also features improved suspension tuning for better ride quality and handling.
Advanced Safety and ADAS
The new Sonata is loaded with Hyundai’s latest SmartSense safety suite, which includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist. With multiple airbags and a high-strength body structure, the 2025 Sonata prioritizes both active and passive safety.
Expected Launch and Price
Hyundai is expected to bring the Sonata 2025 to India as a premium offering later this year. Though pricing has not been confirmed, it is likely to be positioned above ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom). With its bold styling, hybrid technology, and luxury features, the Sonata 2025 is set to redefine the executive sedan segment.
